At McDonough District Hospital, our cardiovascular specialists and surgeons
do procedures to repair damage caused by diseases of the cardiovascular
system. Often, these diseases are first diagnosed by a primary care doctor,
who then refers the patient to a cardiologist, who may then refer the
patient to a cardiovascular surgeon, as part of your heart health team.
After your surgery, you will remain under the care of your cardiologist.
