MDH Announces Upcoming Flu Vaccination Clinics

MACOMB, Ill. – McDonough District Hospital announced upcoming dates and times for flu vaccine clinics in October.

Once again, individuals can go to the MDH Drive-Thru on the following days and times to receive a flu vaccine.

• October 3-5 from 8:30-10 a.m.
• October 10-12 from 8:30-10 a.m.

Additional dates inside the Drive-Thru will be added later in October. Individuals need to bring their insurance card and ID.

The Convenience Clinic inside Health Services Building 2 in Macomb is open seven days a week for walk-in flu vaccinations: Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. (closed from 1-2 p.m.) and Saturday-Sunday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

The MDH Monmouth Convenience Clinic also offers walk-in flu vaccinations Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

The MDH Family Clinic and Bushnell Family Practice will also offer flu vaccinations during normal business hours. Patients will need to call and schedule an appointment.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends an age appropriate vaccination for the flu. Two flu vaccines will be available, one for ages 18-64 and another for age 65 and older. Anyone under the age of 18 should contact their primary care provider. Participants are asked to wear a short sleeve shirt as all shots are given in the upper arm.
