Dr. Lee is the fifth provider to join MDH OB/GYN
MACOMB, Ill. – McDonough District Hospital announced Dr. D. James Lee, a Board Certified OB/GYN physician, has joined the MDH Medical Group.
The addition of Dr. Lee brings another experienced provider to McDonough District Hospital and the services offered at MDH OB/GYN and the Dolores Kator Switzer Women’s Center.
“We are excited to have Dr. James Lee, OB/GYN, join our team. He was previously at DuPage Medical Group and brings a high level of expertise and experience to the program,” said MDH Medical Group Vice President Peter Rao. “With adding Dr. Lee, it also enables us to have superior coverage and support all our community’s needs. MDH is proud of our OB/GYN team of providers, it is one of the strongest in the region.”
Dr. Lee joins Dr. Tamara Smith, Dr. Steven Coulter, Dr. Nicholas Viyuoh, and Certified Nurse Midwife Mary Thompson in providing OB/GYN services for the surrounding region.
From 2018 to present, he worked with the DuPage Medical Group in St. Charles, Illinois. Dr. Lee first began in July 1991 with DuKane Obstetrics and Gynecology, also located in St. Charles and worked there until 2018.
He graduated from Seattle Pacific with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Behavioral Studies. He attended the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, then followed with four years of Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at the Blodgett Memorial Medical Center and St. Mary’s Health Services.
Dr. Lee is a Fellow with the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, an associate member of the American Fertility Society, and former Chair of the OB/GYN department at Delnor Community Hospital (2009-14).
