MDH Announces Cancellation of the 2020 Golf Tournament

MACOMB, Ill. – McDonough District Hospital announced that its annual Golf Tournament, scheduled for September 18 at the Harry Mussatto Golf Course, has been cancelled.

MDH noted that the date for the 2021 event is set for Friday, September 10, 2021 at the Harry Mussatto Golf Course. The rain date will be the following Monday (Sept. 13). 

The hospital decided to cancel this year’s event as a precautionary measure due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and uncertainty of what COVID will look like this fall.

“We are disappointed we will not be able to welcome all our golfers to the Harry Mussatto Golf Course for what would have been our 22nd annual event. We were optimistic about hosting the event in September, but due to an increase in COVID-19 cases around the country, we feel the best course of action is not host a 2020 event and come back in 2021 with an even bigger and better golfing experience at the Mussatto Golf Course for everyone,” said golf committee co-chairs Patrick Osterman and Nick Knowles. “We appreciate everyone’s understanding of our decision and encourage everyone to take the necessary precautions to help stop the spread of COVID-19.”
