MDH Announces Envision Physician Services as New Emergency Department Physician Group

MACOMB, Ill. – McDonough District Hospital President/CEO Brian E. Dietz, FACHE, announced a new contractual partnership for Emergency Department physician services. Envision Physician Services, a nationwide physician service group, will begin working at MDH on July 1.

Envision boasts more than 25,000 clinicians and 1,600 employees covering 45 states and the District of Columbia. Its provider specialties include: anesthesia, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, women’s and pediatrics, radiology, and surgical services. 

“After concluding a four month competitive bid process we are excited to announce that Envision has won the contract to provide our Emergency Department physician coverage. The selection of Envision was a collaborative process with our Medical Staff leadership to assure their concerns and interests were addressed during the selection process,” said Dietz. “Envision is one of the largest national players in this space and has a robust presence in Illinois. We are anticipating this to be a successful transition that will bring greater support and services to Macomb than what we have had in years past.”

Over the past six years, Envision has successfully performed more than 100 transitions to its physician group and overall boasts of more than 30 million patient encounters.
