E-Cards
McDonough District Hospital offers a service for families and friends to stay connected to patients admitted into the hospital. Our E-Card service is a simple and thoughtful way of letting a patient know you care. E-Cards are delivered personally by volunteers to the patients' rooms Monday through Friday. The hospital encourages you to take a few moments to let a patient know you care.

E-Cards are printed and delivered Monday - Friday by volunteers. E-Cards received after 12:00 p.m. will be delivered the following business day.

E-Cards received after 12:00 p.m. on Friday, on the weekends, or on a holiday, will be delivered the following business day.

Mail
Letters and packages for patients are delivered each day. Mail that is delivered to the hospital after you are discharged will be forwarded to your home. Stamps and stationary may be purchased in the Gift Shop. You may give outgoing mail to a staff member to mail for you.

Flowers
Flowers are delivered to your room by Volunteer Services. Every effort is made to get plants and flowers to you as soon as possible.  Flowers may also be purchased in the MDH Gift Shop, located on the first floor.

Interpreters

For the Hearing Impaired
A telecommunications device is available to help the hearing-impaired or patients who want to communicate with a hearing-impaired relative or friend. In addition, a sign language interpreter is available upon request.
