Big Pink Volleyball Nets Support for Breast Cancer

Big Pink Volleyball at Western Illinois University announced that more than $6,000 will be contributed to McDonough District Hospital in support of mammography screening and breast cancer support services. The 2009 event raised more than $12,000 total with MDH and the Susan G. Komen organization designated to receive the funds.

Since 2003, MDH has received $18,682.72 plus the $6,000 this year from Big Pink Volleyball. There were 191 teams in the event with 1462 participants including 118 WIU employees.
