NEUROLOGIST TO DISCUSS SLEEP DISORDERS APRIL 7 AT MDH

McDonough District Hospital will host a special community education program about sleep disorders on Tuesday, April 7 from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM in the Auditoriums, located on the lower level of the hospital.

dhuna_photo_reduced.jpgAnil Dhuna, MD, will be the featured speaker for the program. Dr. Dhuna is the founder of Burlington Neurology and Sleep Clinic in Iowa. He is also a consulting neurologist for area hospitals and sleep labs, including McDonough District Hospital, where he and his colleague, Sid Kapoor, MD, see patients on a weekly basis in the Medical Arts building on the MDH campus.

Insufficient sleep has been linked to the development and management of a number of chronic diseases and conditions, including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity, and depression. Learn about the most common sleep disorders, including prevention, symptoms, and treatment options.
