Learn about the common cardiovascular and respiratory options used at McDonough District Hospital to prevent, detect, and treat problems with the cardiac, vascular, and pulmonary systems. Tour the areas where tests, treatments, and preventative interventions are performed. Watch a demonstration of lungs connected to a ventilator.

Online registration is available at www.wiu.edu/life. L.I.F.E. is an organization dedicated to providing high-quality, low-cost, and enjoyable adult-education experiences. The Macomb L.I.F.E. program, organized by the Western Illinois University Study Abroad Department, is affiliated with the national organization, Road Scholar: Elderhostel Institute Network (EIN). It is independently administered by area residents who develop the courses, select the teachers, establish the fees, and promote the curriculum.
