MDH to Offer ‘Get to the Heart of the Matter’ Program
MACOMB, Ill. – Recognizing February as American Heart Month, McDonough District Hospital will host the “Get to the Heart of the Matter” program on Wednesday, February 21. This free informational program will begin at 6 p.m. in the Radiology Department (on first floor at MDH) and is open to the public.
The 60-minute program will feature Suellen Carmody-Menzer, MBA, RRT, RRT-NPS, AE-C and Peggy Jones, NP-C from the MDH Cardiopulmonary department and Cardio Rehab specialist Alicia Ladd from Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. All three will speak on various cardiopulmonary topics, and those attending can tour the Cardio department and Cardiac Rehab center.
The MDH Cardiopulmonary department provides accurate diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with disorders of the cardiac, pulmonary and vascular systems, such as: asthma, COPD, cystic fibrosis and bronchiectasis. MDH treats patients of all ages and needs, tailoring the procedure and education to meet the needs of each patient.
Cardiopulmonary services are provided by highly trained and credentialed specialists in the field of cardiopulmonary and vascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
MDH Cardiac Rehabilitation provides a program of exercise and education to help people with heart conditions live to their fullest potential, including: open heart surgery, heart attack, stent placement, valve repair or replacement and stable angina, and other additional conditions.
